Yarn Bombing Christ Church Junior School Playground

Late summer 2021, after the lockdowns due to the Covid epidemic, our members wanted to do something to surprise our local schoolchildren, to welcome them back to school after such a long period during the lockdowns. The members knitted and crocheted to yarn bomb a tree by the playground, and covered some bench seats also in the playground, and as we had made so many squares, we made a very long snake that we hung around the cricket practice nets. In all the purpose was to make the children smile, and the report that we received back from Mrs Osborne , was that it was a great success. Happy children back at school.
